Warsaw Insta Festival photo exhibition on the 35th floor of Warsaw Trade Tower – also the only such a view during the Long Night of Museums!
On the 35th floor of Warsaw Trade Tower awards of this year's Warsaw Insta Festival were granted, along with opening an exhibition of the winner's works. The exhibition will take place from 13th to 31st May being a unique opportunity to watch the panorama of Warsaw seen from this remarkable building. On Saturday's Long Night of Museums, the exhibition will be the uppermost located gallery and a viewing point in the entire city.
Warsaw Insta Festival 2016 contest was dedicated to photography enthusiasts who publish their works on Instagram. The second edition had a national range, which resulted in much greater interest in the contest - the number of submitted works was 2730. The awards were given in four categories - #urbanworkplace, #zakreceniwpolsce, #ikonypolski and #glowawchmurach. The main prize in the category "Urban Work Place" - a dinner with a view of the Warsaw skyline seen from the 35th floor of the Warsaw Trade Tower went to Mr. Filip Bramorski, while the "Polish icon,", which the jury recognized as Szczecin's Philharmonic was photographed by Mr. Radosław Grzybowski. Category "Head in the clouds" proved victorious for Mr. Paweł Kozarzewski and the prize for "Crazy in Poland" went to Ms. Joanna Borowska. The exhibition of awarded works can be seen at 35th floor of Warsaw Trade Tower between 13th and 31st May (5 p.m. - 9 p.m.) (except of Monday, 16th May). The exhibition will be open to public also during the Long Night of Museums on Saturday 14th May till 1:00 a.m.
Choosing Warsaw Trade Tower as location of the final of this year's festival of urban photography Warsaw Insta Festival and the organization of the post-competition exhibition is not accidental. It is the best viewing point from which you can capture every interesting piece of Warsaw. As Izabela Kapil, Vice President Portfolio Management - Europe at Heitman says: "Participation of WTT as a co-organizer of the contest is a great honor for us, but also the opportunity to show our space to others. We hope that dinner, which was one of the main prizes of the contest will be an unforgettable memory for the winner."
During the contest, lasting from 3rd March to 10th April. 2730 photos were submitted, which is over a thousand more than last year. According to Thomas Reich, chief editor of the portal "Nowa Warszawa" and co-organizer of the festival - "This year's edition of the Warsaw Insta Festival only confirms that more and more people take part in it. This is the first time we decided to make it nationwide. Since now, the WIF will take place everywhere, every year. There are also new categories: Urban Work Place, which is about the ideal place of work - and certainly can be a great source of information for employers how people perceive their work place - but not only this category.; Icons of Poland also seem to be interesting. It turns out that a lot of interesting architecture appears outside Warsaw. I hope that next year's edition will be as much interesting as current one.
The works were evaluated by a jury of journalists, photographers, bloggers, celebrities, and real estate professionals. The contest's organizers were "Nowa Warszawa" portal and branding agency - Bueller & Frye. The main partner of the contest is Warsaw Trade Tower, sponsors of prizes are - Palace of Culture and Science, Cosmopolitan apartment building, Legia sports club, Academy of Photography and real estate developers - Echo Investment and Immobel Poland. Media patronage over the festival was held by following broadcasters: Stolica magazine, Radio Campus, Eurobulid ECC, Bryla.pl, Igers Poland, Mordor na Domaniewskiej, InstaLove, Wroclovers, 1001miejsc.pl and Naszemiasto.pl.
